One Time Payment & Tentative Settlement Agreement 16-17 & 17-18


Dear Colleagues,

I wanted to provide an update on the PFT 3% bonus payment schedule.
Paid on June 29, 2018: Active Unit Members who were employed all school year and completed their full contract. 3% is calculated on their base salary for 2017-2018 school year.      
Paid on August 31, 2018: Any current unit member in unpaid status for any portion of the 2017-2018 school year. Had to be hired by February 01 to be eligible.  3% Bonus is calculated on a pro-rated amount based on their actual earnings for 2017-2018.
Paid on August 31, 2018:  Part-time/hourly/CTE/Adult Ed employees who are current unit members.  Pay based on their calculated annualized 2017-2018 earnings.

The Tentative Agreement was approved on a 3/2 vote tonight by the PUSD School Board (0’Connor-Ratcliff, Patel, and Zane voting yes and Beatty and Sellers voting no). Trustees Beatty and Sellers also made/supported a motion at the beginning of the meeting to pull the TA off the Board Meeting Agenda for tonight and delay the vote. Due to the recent SERP there will be more transfer opportunities this year compared to past years. To help expedite the expected large volume of transfers, we have initiated a temporary change to our transfer policy. Please click on below link for an outline of the process.
