Amount: Students enrolled in four-year courses of study are eligible for $3000 scholarships; those enrolled in two-year courses of study are eligible for $1000.

Qualifications:     Dependents of AFT members (If you are a member of PFT, your dependents qualify)
Amount: The AFT awards four $8000 scholarships to high school seniors who are dependents of AFT members, as well as 20 continuing education grants of $1000 to AFT members.

Union Plus Scholarship Program

Qualifications:     Current and retired members of unions participating in any Union Plus program, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations).  At least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant's spouse or parent (if applicant is a dependent).  
Amount: Amounts range from $500 to $4,000.
Deadline: A complete application must be received on or before 12:00 p.m.(Eastern Time) on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.

 

National Labor College Scholarship
