Dear PFT Members,
The PUSD School Board ratified the Settlement Agreement between PUSD and PFT on September 12, 2019. This means the Flex Time Day has been eliminated from the work calendar for the 2019-20 school year and beyond (there is no reduction in pay related to this reduction of a workday). Most of us have not completed Flex Time hours for 2019-20. However, if you did participate in principal approved Flex Time opportunities between July 1, 2019
- September 12, 2019, you will be paid the B-2 teacher hourly rate for this professional learning. After the .5% salary increase effective July 1, 2018 is applied, the unaudited draft teacher hourly rate is $37.39.
The circumstances below qualify for B-2 teacher hourly pay for Flex Time professional learning approved and completed July 1 – Sept. 12 of this school year. If you participated in:
- A district offered Flex Time opportunity - the department that offered the professional learning will email you to let you know your payment will be processed.
- A site offered Flex Time opportunity - please submit your approved Flex Form and Reflection to your administrator for signature. Please ensure your name, school name, number of hours and employee ID number are on the form. (If this was a group of teachers, you may turn in one form with all the information included.) All Flex Forms require principal signature.
- An individual Flex Time opportunity pre-approved by your site administrator - please submit your Flex Form and Reflection to your administrator for signature. Please ensure your name, school name, number of hours and employee ID number are on the form. All Flex Forms require principal signature.
Please turn in your Flex forms in to your principal no later than Oct. 10. Principals will submit forms to LSS for processing. Please let us know if you have any questions.
